COVID-19 Information from Alabama Soccer Association (ASA) - Updated information can be found at the following link: https://www.alsoccer.org/return-to-play-guidelines/

Below is the email from ASA (22 May 2020):

Hey everyone,

We can start social distance limited soccer training today according to the amended Safer at Home guidelines.    We have updated our Return to Play Guidelines on the website so please read all documents regarding return to play:

Note on the ASA website https://www.alsoccer.org/return-to-play-guidelines/  that we have added a Communicable Waiver - COVID-19 and all participants must sign before participating in any ASA activities with our members.  We have also limited the amount of people allowed near the training fields - only players and coaches are allowed past the entrance to the fields. We recommend all parents/guardians who choose to stay for their child’s training sessions stay in their car to help detour the spread of COVID-19.

Each club is responsible for their own club policy on COVID-19 including recording and notifying anyone who tests positive with COVID-19 and provide club guidelines if a participant has tested positive or comes in contact with someone who tests positive.  Minimum guidelines are listed in the USYS guidelines and in Safer at Home orders listed above.

We have moved the official Tryout dates to June 15th for ALL AGES.  As listed in the Safer at Home guidelines, this is the first date players can participate in games.  It is SOCIAL DISTANCING TRAINING ONLY May 22-June 14.  No recruiting until June 15th.

We have also updated the ASA calendar to reflect the changes listed above.  The calendar and dates listed above may change as the Governor makes amendments to the Safer at Home orders.  Do your part and follow the guidelines so we can continue to train and play games with our soccer families!

Welcome back!
